Potion Station

Potion Station

One of my favorite ways to explore science in the outdoor classroom is to set up a potion station. It’s a great way for children to have sensory fun while enjoying their time outside.

To create a potion station, you’ll need some kitchen utensils (slotted spoons, ladles, tongs, measuring cups, scoops, squeeze bottles, muffin tins, etc.), containers of varying sizes, flower petals, herbs (mint is easy to grow and always a favorite!), and a mortar & pestle. Find a shady space outside to set up the supplies. Stand back and listen to the laughter!
